Trip to Reno!

My sweet sister Camille recently had surgery on 5 hernias in her stomach!  Bless her dear heart!  I offered to go down to Reno where her family is and help her out.  So with the permission of my sweet husband, Camille flew me down last week, and we had such a great time!  Max was super wiggly on the plane, but was so good for the most part.  He does this thing where he pulls off his socks now and stuffs them in his mouth. Lovely.  I had so many kind people gently tap me on the back and give me a sock that Max had dropped in the airport...silly little monkey!
The weather in Reno wasn't that great while I was there, and the kiddos were off track from school, so we had a lot of fun inside!  Juliana is 2, and so dang cute!  She loved having Max to play with.  He was her "Wheel Baby!"  She was always so concerned about Max and would ask about every 15 minutes, "Baby happy?"
Abby and Lily were so good with Max, and helped out so much!  Talmage and Daniel always included Max during their "screen time," and Max loved it!  We played games, had treats, read stories, dressed-up, and danced!  It was so much fun!
Camille and Nate took me to a super nice Steakhouse on one of my last nights there, which was super nice of them.  Throughout the week, we stayed up late talking/laughing, catching up on their TV shows, eating caramel popcorn, and playing games!
Anyway, it was a blast, and I am so glad I got to go down and spend sometime with the Andros Family!!
Tim was able to come with me through security and help Max and I off-thank heavens.
I don't think I could have done it without him!
 Max and I were quite
a sight to behold!

So cute!

Twister!

Ticket to Ride anyone?

So since me and my boys have moved in with my parents, we have become officially addicted to the game Ticket to Ride.  I think we take about 2 or 3 doses of it per week, and are constantly having withdrawals when we're not playing.  It is rather odd because 1- this game takes FOREVER to play with a big group of people and a 7.5 month old crazy baby boy, 2- my dear sweet husband kills all of us over and over and over again, but yet we still keep opening that darn box, 3- Ticket to Ride is a very competitive game, and when another player interferes with someone else's game plan, very bad and negative feelings are felt from everyone (which usually last hours) around the table that could be cut with a knife-quality knife, and 4- my dad isn't much of a game guy, but for some reason he LOVES Ticket to Ride, and would play it at any hour of the day if he could.  He is the best to play with.
Although there is no picture of it, we took a dose of our drug yesterday afternoon, and I wasted everyone.  I think I have only won once before, so I made sure everyone knew how excited I was all day about my triumph.  It was wonderful.
Who knows, maybe someday we will need to ban this game from our family, but for now, we are all still hoppin' on the train!
This is a clip from one of our intense rounds, and I  think Tim did something to make Annie pretty upset.  Gotta love it!

Two Men in a Suit

On Sunday, both of my boys were sitting on the couch, and both of them were still wearing their Sunday best, and I ran and got my camera.  My Aunt gave Max this darling little suit, and even though it is still a little too big for him, it fit him well enough.  He just looks like the cutest little man!  This next week he is going to turn 7 months!!!
My other man, Tim, just started a job at a plasma donation center at the U.  He works so hard there, and then comes home for a quick dinner and breather, and then runs out the door to go and tutor math to some local kids in high school, a mother of three going back to school, and an engineering student at the U.  He is so busy, and I hardly get to see him, but we are so grateful for the jobs he has.  There is a slight chance that he might start an internship in New Mexico this summer...we'll keep you posted.  Tim is such a good Daddy and Husband, we sure love him!!!
